This #MothMonday we're putting the spotlight on one of the UK's most spectacular spring moths 🤩The Emperor Moth (Saturnia pavonia), with its 8cm wingspan and eyespot patterns not unlike those on the Peaco*ck butterfly, occurs in open countryside such as heathland and moorland. The male flies in the daytime, so keep a lookout for fast-flying orangey insects if you are out on a sunny walk.Learn more about this species 👉 https://lnkd.in/e-EPM38b📷: Julian Dowding#MothsMatter
