Zinogre Combat Info
- Kinsect Extracts:
- Red: Head/Forelegs
- Orange: Chest/Back/Hindlegs
- White: Tail
- Enraged mode: When it's fully charged, the camera will pull back and it will howl loudly causing roar stun and lightning will arc from it.
- Shock Traps do not work while it is charged. If you are looking to capture one in it's charged state, you may use a Pitfall Trapinstead.
- As shown in the developer panel, when it's stunned, you can use the Capture Net tocatch the Fulgurbugs off of its back that give it electricity.
- This can only be done while it is in its charged state, and only works on Zinogre's back. Using the Capture Net on any other part of its body will have no effect.
- Successfully capturing Fulgurbugs off of its back will decrease the amount of time it remains in its charged state.
- In a state of supercharge and rage, itgains new attacks and modifies some older moves.
- Its paw slam shoots Fulgurbug swarms forward in a spreading pattern.
- It can release Fulgurbug swarms in a circling pattern around itself.
- It can also perform several powerful leaping slams in succession, targeting each party member, including Palicoes.
- When it's charging, if you do enough damage to its head, you can interrupt it for a second or two. It may start charging again after regaining its balance.
- Doing enough damage while it's charged will cause its to temporarily lose its supercharged state. You'll hear a ringing sound when this happens, and it will recoil and snarl at you.
- Beating Zinogre out of its charged state will also always end its enraged state. You may take advantage of that by enraging it while Zinogre is not charged, and to forcefully calm it down once it discharges.
- One of it attacksmakes it land on its back, making it vulnerable to attacks for a very short amount of time.
- To evade its claws slams, simply dodge roll towards its tail.
- When it rolls in the air to shoot its lightning orbs, they seem to rotate in a counter clock wise direction. If you are too close to it, they will hit you. Distance is key to avoiding this attack. Once the orbs have traveled a certain distance, they will dissipate.
- Thunderproof mantle will help you avoid Thunderblight.
- High Level Earplugs(>3) will give you many more openings to deal damage, since this particular monster tends to howl a lot.
When Zinogre is not charged, it exhibits considerable resistance to damage, particularly outside its head region. It tends to be less nimble and less prone to executing combos. Focus your attacks on the vulnerable areas to maximize damage, as these may become weak points when tenderized.
Upon being charged, Zinogre becomes more susceptible to damage while showcasing increased agility in its movements. To play it safe, wait for itto complete its sequence of attacks, typically ranging from 3 to 5 moves. Note that its attack patterns vary when in an enraged state.
Target the front legs to induce staggering and create more opportunities for attacks. Shock Traps can be employed to charge it, but exercise caution and avoid overcommitting when uncertain. Maintain a strategic distance if no clear opening is available.
